We are coming up on the end of the year soon. Everyone will start writing down and formulating goals and their finances for the year. For me I do this twice a year. Once before the new year, and once on my birthday. Tomorrow I turn 36. THIRTY SIX! How is this even possible?
35 was a strong year for me. Yes even with covid. I walked into 35 knowing I would publish a book before I turned 36. Knowing I would see one of my biggest dreams come true.
I gained a lot of extra time with my family because of covid. Lincoln is normally at school a few days a week and we kept a pretty full schedule. His school shut down in March and we kept him home once it restarted in the fall. I put on a new hat as a homeschool Mama. Whew it has been tough, but so rewarding. We have had hard days, but the fun adventurous days outweigh them by far. It has stretched me and made me dig back up some creativity I hadn’t used in a long time. We baked, we cooked, we laughed, we did all the crafts, Linc got a big boy bike, we conquered potty training, we had family movie nights, went on lots of drives, prayed together, and dreamed together.
I could go on and on. I even dare to say that 35 was one of my favorite years.
Now I’m staring 36 in the eyes saying LET’S GOOOOOO! I can’t wait to see what this next year holds and all the things the Lord has in store for not only me and my family, but for all of you. I have a great expectation for things to come. Do you? Are you expecting great things, or are you sitting here waiting for the next shoe to drop?
Just last week I birthed what one of my friends refers to as my second baby. It’s so true. I labored and poured my time into this book. It was scary and at times too vulnerable, but I let the Lord lead me every step of the way. So many tears and prayers were poured over this book. It took me on a personal journey while writing it and the Lord continually astounds me with the way he orchestrates things. Thank you to everyone who has supported me through this journey. There was a very small handful of people that knew I was working on this project and it made it an even more intimate experience for me. I could list out many people to thank, but I saved that for the acknowledgements section of my book. If you would like to check it out here is the link to purchase on Amazon. There is an e book and a paperback copy to choose from. I hope you enjoy While In Waiting: our journey through heartache, hope, and healing!
